Frank was a founder member of Necromandus together with Bill Branch, Baz Dunnery and Dennis McCarten.

Amongst the many admirers of Frank's drumming style was none other than Led Zeppelin's John Bonham who mentions this in an autobiography.

Frank was later reunited with guitarist Baz in the band Nerves.

  • Banjo Cunanan - bass

Banjo Cunanan Banjo was born and raised in Angeles City, in the Philippines where he cut his teeth on the incredibly competitive live music scene.

Musicians would travel from far and wide to play for the American soldiers in the clubs and bars in the area as it was located next to the Clark U.S Army base.

Therefore, he had to make sure that his playing would stand out from the crowd to earn a living as a professional musician.

After moving to Cumbria, he joined a local band of note that included Frank Hall on the drums. After playing with Frank for a short time, he was then asked by Frank to complete the Necromandus line-up on Bass playing duties.

  • Dean Newton - guitar

Dean Newton Dean began playing the guitar at an early age, which saw him play his first professional gig aged just 12.

After graduating from the London College of music in 2011 with a Bachelor of Music degree, he has been in steady demand with musical projects ranging from Heavy Rock, Blues, Musical Theatre, and Jazz.

Dean has played in a popular Cumbrian band with Frank Hall (and later John Marcangelo) for the last 5 years. They have built a lasting friendship, and have a strong musical affinity with their respective playing styles.

Dean was honoured to be asked to play Guitar in Necromandus 2016.

  • John Branch - vocals

John Branch Born on 8th July 1979 in Whitehaven, Cumbria, son of a musician and a teacher. His father Bill Branch was the original Necromandus vocalist. John was never supposed to be a rock musician of any sort. A great deal of time, effort and money was put into more classical music training, such as choral and church singing, piano and flute, before his parents admitted defeat and bought him his first drum kit aged 14. John is better known as a drummer, and has been a gigging musician for over 20 years, having played in various bands and in venues ranging from 100 capacity halls to 15,000 capacity outdoor festivals.

Previous bands have supported international artists like The Levellers, The Blockheads, Rose Tattoo, Karma to Burn and orange Goblin. He has always sung, and has often provided backing rather than main vocals which he continues to do as drummer in Jolan's live band (The Voice UK 2016 runner-up).

Necromandus is not the only band that John has provided lead vocals for, but 'Necromandus' represents the first full album where he is lead vocalist. He was drawn to the project by the opportunity to perform his father's original material which he has loved since childhood.
